This 2-day CPO Pool Operator program is for residential pool owners, commercial and residential service operators, maintenance technicians, facility managers, and environmental health officials. Understanding the fundamentals of pool and spa operation and safety reduces risk, decreases liability, and increases competency. 

• Attend a 2-day  class which covers all 18 chapters of the Pool & Spa Operator Handbook
• Includes PHTA® Pool & Spa Operator Handbook providing a life-long reference tool.

• Attendees from out of town will be provided with appropriate regulations.
• Exam not required for homeowners taking care of their own pool.
• Open book, open note certification exam.
• Must have a valid government issued ID to take the exam.
• CPO Certificate is emailed same day when passing exam.
• National CPO certification is valid for 5 years after passing exam.
• Current CPOs wanting to re-certify have the option of completing an online course only and then taking the CPO exam with no class time required. First text a pic of current CPO card issued by NSPF or PHTA to 702-243-7946, then register  for option 2.

This combination CPO Pool Operator program includes first completing an 8-hour self-paced online course, and then attending a one-day in-person or virtual Zoom class. This program is for residential pool owners, commercial and residential service operators, maintenance technicians, facility managers, and environmental health officials.

 Benefits of online course:

• Follows the 18 chapters of the Pool & Spa Operator Handbook listed in Option 1.
• Self-paced. 
• Available in the office, at home, or wherever it's convenient.
• Includes a digital PHTA® Pool & Spa Operator Handbook in addition to the actual book.
• Video demonstrations and interactive activities and exams reinforce content for long-term retention.
• Program must be completed within 3 months from originally scheduled class if reschedulig occurs.

In-Person Class:

• After the online course is completed, attend the scheduled 1-day in-person  or virtual Zoom class.
• The program includes book.
• In-person class reviews key points from online course.
• Covers  Southern Nevada Health District Aquatic Facility Regs.
• Attendees from out of town will be provided with appropriate regulations.
• Exam not required for homeowners taking care of their own pool.
• Open book, open note certification exam.

It is not necessary to complete the entire online course first to attend the 2-day in-person class.
